Electronic Supply Chain Manifest Operational Test

This ATRI-led project is developing and testing a secured multimodal electronic cargo manifest, allowing for the automated transfer of comprehensive cargo information between intermodal supply chain freight generators and transporters - manufacturers/shippers, trucking companies, and airlines. Access to cargo and shipping documentation is secured using biometric smart card technologies and encrypted internet transmissions.
The system has been successfully tested in the Chicago-O'Hare and New York-JFK International Airport service areas and plans are underway to expand the system to two additional airport service areas.
