 AMERICAN TRANSPORTATION RESEARCH INSTITUTE APPOINTS NEW BOARD MEMBERS

       
 Alexandria, Va. -- The American Transportation Research Institute announced today it has appointed three new members to its Board of Directors.  The new Directors appointed by ATRI Chairman Doug Duncan, President and CEO, FedEx Freight are:

 Chris Lofgren, President and CEO, Schneider National, Inc.

 Tim Solso, Chairman and CEO, Cummins Inc.

 Steve Williams, Chairman and CEO, Maverick Transportation, Inc.

 ?The ATRI Board has long benefited from the involvement of top industry leaders.  These appointments round out an already strong board, bringing immeasurable experience at the helm of their respective companies,? said Duncan in announcing the appointments.

 ATRI is the trucking industry?s 501(c)(3) not-for-profit research organization.  It is engaged in critical research relating to freight transportation?s essential role in maintaining a safe, secure and efficient transportation system.
