Alexandria,
VA –
The American Transportation Research Institute (ATRI) is supporting the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) in collecting industry input and insights on the use of wireless roadside inspections. On Wednesday, November 7, 2007, trucking firms will have an opportunity to learn more about wireless roadside inspection technologies and how they might streamline trucking operations and productivity.
The WRI webinar presenters will include Jeff Loftus, a transportation specialist at FMCSA, and Gary Capps, a transportation engineer from Oak Ridge National Laboratories (ORNL). This webinar will also provide an update on the results of the recent WRI proof-of-concept technology field test, and the establishment of a Commercial Motor Vehicle Roadside Technology Corridor and inspection station in Green County, TN, on August 7, 2007. Conway Transportation and the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance, both ATRI members, were involved in the proof-of-concept testing.
Motor carrier representatives can simultaneously listen and watch the live FMCSA-sponsored webinar from any location in the U.S. that has internet and telephone access.
To register for the webinar, send an email to FMCSA_Host@dot.gov and include the words “WRI Webinar” in the subject line.
